What is Ashtanga Yoga ???


Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga sequences are like a global language in the field of yoga.  Traditionally this primary sequence begins with the 5 sets of Sun Salutation type A and is followed by the Sun Salutation series B. It also includes after this various sort of standing asana then sitting postures and there is a finishing sequence.


 


 Yogi Pattabhi Jois developed many different series for the people of different levels.  The first primary series was called as Yoga Chikitsa that is yogic healing. It was meant for the beginner students of Hatha yoga.  The Second series is known as Nadi Shodhana. It is suitable for the intermediate students after mastering the primary series.  And for the advanced level students he developed the four Series known as Sthira Bhaag.
